ENTRANCE/ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(Programs of four hundred fifty (450) or more clock hours or the credit hour equivalent shall administer a basic skills examination to each student who enrolls, unless the student has provided evidence of a high school graduation diploma, general equivalency diploma, or its equivalent.)

The following General Admission requirements must be met in order for an applicant to be eligible for admission to programs at the Dominium Institute:

  1. The applicant must be 18 years of age. If the applicant is less than 18 years of age, a parent/guardian signature is required to enroll the student in program.
  2. Applicants must present a Valid picture ID.
  3. Applicants must present a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. FOR YOUR INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA TRANSCRIPT MYIEE

Applications to the Practical Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing programs must also meet the following requirements

  1. Submit a clear drug test.
  2. Satisfactory completion of a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 Background Check. CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH COMPLIO
  3. Provide evidence of meeting immunization requirements by providing evidence that you are free of active tuberculosis, and have immunizations for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
  4. Prospective nursing students must sit for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (“TEAS”) admission assessment. The TEAS will be offered to each applicant only 3 times in a twelve (12) month period. If a candidate fails the TEAS exam after 3 attempts, an in-house exam similar to the TEAS will be administered to the student. The student must pass the in-house exam with a score of 60% or higher to be enrolled. ATI
    • Practical Nursing applicants receiving a 60% or higher score on the TEAS will be eligible to continue with the enrollment process.
  5. Provide proof of current certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  6. Affiliated Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
  7. Interview with the Program Director.
